INEC Grieved: Kano REC, wife, 2 daughters gutted by fire
The Resident Electoral Commissioner
(REC) for the Independent National
Electoral Commission of Nigeria (INEC)
in Kano State, Alhaji Munkaila Abdullahi
died yesterday morning in an early morning inferno that gutted his official residence @ No 2. Sir Kashim Road, Nassarawa GRA, Kano.
The deceased, who was confirmed dead on arrival at the Murtala Muhammed
Specialists Hospital, Kano, died alongside
his wife, Hajia Zukaiha Munkaila, aged 32, and his daughters,Isha, aged four and Asma’u, two and a half years.
The deceased INEC boss, who was in his
office until late Thursday evening, was
found lifeless with his family members in
his master’s bedroom.
The Police are still investigating the cause of the outbreak
